hawkinsian
I'm living in Germany at the moment but may stay for the foreseeable. I have my UK Ford Focus estate mk1 with me. I'm interested in getting it registered in Germany even though I've heard how much of a pain this is to do. My question is, does anyone know what actually needs to be changed to pass a German MOT/TuV? I've heard it's just the lights (front and rear). For example, I know that the current headlights units are adjustable to some extent (up and down). But do they have any lateral movement to adjust them to driving on the right? I also know that the rear lights need swapping so that the reverse light and fog lights are swapped round. If I buy German rear light units, is the wire work straightforward? Any advice would be gratefully received. Danke schön! Ian
