dpf problem

Featured Replies

Hi. I own a 2010 mondeo 2.0 tdci and engine management light came on. obd reader gave code p2002 which is the dpf. aA mechanic friend of mine put his laptop to read the codes and came up with the same code. After looking at my vehicle he said that my car has not even got one. I phoned Ford with the reg number and they confirmed my vehicle did not have one fitted when manufactured.

I took it to two ford dealers and they said they will check for an update.Update said dpf update. they updated it and eml came back on after ten minutes.

Why would i get this code when my car has never had a dpf fitted. Pls help.

kevo.

I'm finding strange that  a 2010 car doesn't have a DPF all mine have had  since my 2005 car.
