Central Locking Issues

Hi. Got a strange issue with my MK6 Fiesta. When driving the central locking will sound (just like when you are locking/unlocking the car when it is stationery and you are outside of the car) and the indicators will flash up on the dash board. This doesn't lock or unlock the doors. Any ideas what I should look for to fix this as I'm concerned about what signals the flashing lights are sending to vehicles behind me.
