Ginah1982
Hi all, Im new to this forum and owning a ford, i have to say my first experience is going well so far. The only issue i cant seem to find the answer to is the car i bought second hand appears to have a clutch issue and would like some other opinions please. So the issue is when you press the clutch pedal down i seem to get a whirring noise....any ideas? It changes gear fine no grinding when changing nothing when pedal is up.....??? My husband is quite handy with these cars so not an issue with some home mechanics hence why i brought one. He seems to think its the release bearing but i was under ths impression that was when the pedal is up not down? Although i am a woman and my knowledge is limited haha. Thanks in advance guys and gals 😁 x
Luke4efc
Most of the time it is the release bearing. Not worth replacing by itself, but worth changing if you're removing the gearbox for a clutch change.
