We have had our Mondeo 2003 diesel for 6 years now. When we pull off or put our foot down it blows out puffs of black smoke. Once or twice it has tried to stall.  No noises from engine or no loss of power.we only drive it short distances, about a mile a day. Does it need a good run. Oil change regular. Any ideas. Thanks

    Definitely needs a good run worked hard not just a pootle down the motorway keep the load and revs up for about 20 mins
