Bio Diesel

Featured Replies

I got my new Fez (1.6 TDCI, Titanium) a couple of weeks ago and am loving it. When the salesman handed it over, he said not to put Bio diesel in it, I think the handbook indicates the fuel must be less than 5% bio, my hubby thinks that the Esso Energy diesel is 7%, as I usually buy from Esso stations, I will have to look elsewhere, but how can I find out the % bio of the different brands of diesel? I tried googling, but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think it's something to do with the common rail injection system in these engines which don't allow you to use bio diesel, but I'm not sure. I would just use ordinary diesel to be on the safe side as messing with the injection system on these engines can be very costly!

Yes, it is to do with this, but my problem is identifying what is 'normal', I thought Esso Energy Diesel was normal, other than driving into every forecourt and actually reading the content off the pump, does anyone know if there any website I can visit that will tell me which brand/type is safe for me to use?
