mk4 mondeo starting problems when cold

hi my name is darran and im new to this site im having problems starting my 1.8 tdci mk4 mondeo when it is cold i have had new glow plugs put in but it is still hard to start in the morning , it ok when its been started it is just getting it to start in the morning can anyone help please , thanks



Does it turn over at a good speed or is it sluggish, could be battery related or bad earth, not sure on the 1.8 but glow plugs dont kick in on the 2 litre till about -5c.

hi , it turns over ok with plenty of life in the battery i dont know about the temp i just know it takes about two or three secs for the glow plug light to go out and it takes me 5 or 6 turns to get it going
