Coil light flashing

Featured Replies

Hi my 2.ltr. mondeo deisel has its coil light flashing. And it goes into limp mode

Ok I'll tell you what ive done first. I've changed the air filter, the fuel filter, all 4 glow plugs, i leak testedthe injectors and 1 &2 were filling the bottles quick. The other 2 hardly any fuel .             I cleaned the 2 injectors and put them back . Leak tested again and 1&2 doing the same.          The 2 injectors are filling the bottles nearly the same amount and speed. I tested they spray correct. HAS ANYONE GOT AN IDEA.                       IS THERE A POSSIBILITY THE FUEL RAIL has a blockage stemming the flow to 3&4 .

Go and impress me!!!!!!!!  Thanks clive.

Sounds like injectors 1&2 are worn, there shouldn't be much leak off on a decent injector.

Have you read the fault codes to check if it's a injector fault causing the coil light and limp mode?
