Temperature gauge

Featured Replies

Hi,

2 moths ago I  bought a CMax 1.6 diesel 3 years old. Recently I noticed the temperature gauge is moving between 85-90 degrees when driving responding to the car acceleration. Is this a normal case or the needle should be stuck in the middle? I'm visiting the garage anyway soon.

Thanks

Sounds pretty normal to me. You want to be worried if the needle starts to go beyond and into the red area.

Related to this thread, my 1.0 ecoboost is not reaching the best temperature while it's running in last couple of weeks. Before this, it easily reached the 4th square in the display, but as you can see in the picture, even with reasonable outside temp., it does not go further from the 3rd square. Only if I stop it in idle or accelerate in high revs it goes to the 4th square, but after a while in normal speed (2000rpm) it goes down again.

Is this normal or something that I show worry about?
