    Not sure which VVT engines you’ve had, but none of mine have burned oil. My 2.0 diesel did, not major amounts, but enough to notice every service year.

    Ive had many a 2 ltr diesel non have burned any noticeable amount of oil and all have done high mileage as to the vvt they shouldnt burn oil either.
