I am new here and seeking advice on behalf of my daughter.

I used to consider myself fairly competent as a DIY mechanic but that was way back when I had my treasured Anglia! Looking at my daughters Ka things have moved on a bit.

So, daughter has a 2010 Ka, second version I believe 

The heater is giving out max heat all the time, the controls are not mechanical, it’s an + - button.

We can’t get the heater to turn down at all despite the display saying it is going down.

Anyone else had this issue and know/explain what the remedy is please?

    Heater control valve is common I believe on these KA's for sticking either open or closed. You should be able to feel the motor turning when you change the temperature and work backwards from there.

    Can anyone tell me exactly where the heater control valve is on the later model? It is not where it is on the earlier cars.
