I've told you what the problem is, but you're not wanting to accept it.

The fascias often fail on these old units. Just look at how many there are for sale on eBay. Many people buy or acquire the wrong part when replacing it.

So here's the suggestion you should have offered me...

Probably cheaper in £

I completely fail to see how that 'fixes' the problem of your radio having the wrong facia fitted, but if you're happy with a bodge job then that's fine.

This of course would have been the correct repair:

Don't get too worked up about it. 😉

I'm not worked up about it in the least mate but as a pensioner I don't have the skill to fit one of those or the cash to hire someone who does have that skill, so please accept that I'm happy with the plug in alternative - good luck with your keyboard warrior approach ; )

You asked for help. You were offered it. You posted in the wrong forum. It was sorted out for you. You had the wrong parts fitted to your car. That was explained to you and the correct parts shown. It was clearly explained to you how to eliminate the problem. Your response was to tell the helper that he should have advised you to have bought something quite irrelevant to the question that you asked and when told that it was not the proper way to repair it, you responded with passive aggressive abuse. We have our share of ungrateful, entitled people on here and you won't be the last but whether people can be bothered to help you again...

You're going way over the line here pal, way over.

The original question was why can't I de-bond and you have been given the answer.

How do know swapping the facia panel for the correct one isn't A: Cheap? B:Easy?

If you weren't so rude, the very helpful, friendly people on here would surprise you.

You have a junky 14yr old Fiesta, Scrap yards are full of them

The wrong part is fitted to your car, that's what this post is dealing with.

I suggest you go elsewhere
