Water ingress

Featured Replies

Good day all. I have a 2010 mk2 zetec s focus and was wondering if anyone has had the same problem im having. Iv got rain water leaking in to the drivers foot well and the o/s of the boot. Any suggestions on how its getting in.

Is the car parked 'nose down' on a hill usually?  If so, the footwell is likely to be wet from the boot leak.  The boot leak on the Mk2 is likely to be from the boot seal or rear light cluster seal.

Its normally parked faceing up hill.

Ok, check the door seal, the windscreen and the scuttle panel for the front footwell leak.

Edit - Are you sure it's rain in the front?  Not coolant?  The heater pipes are a common fault on the Mk2, leaking into the OS footwell.

I did read abit about the coolant leak. Its not that because the coolant level hasn't dropped. Ok i wll check the door seal ect.
