Xmaspete
My father used this on the purchase of his car. He told the garage after a price was agreed that he was going to use a Privilege voucher. The garage applied the discount to the agreed price. I am now purchasing a vehicle from the same garage using the scheme, agreed a price and told them about the voucher. The garage is saying the discount applies to the recommended retail price. This is giving a price difference from what I was expecting of over £1000 in their favour. I queried this and I was swamped by figures for 10 minutes. Does anyone know which is the correct way
Luke4efc
They are correct, the scheme means the car is given a set price rather than an amount of money or percentage taken off the either a negotiated price or RRP. I think you're supposed to tell them youre using the scheme first and then negotiate down from there.
