Cleaned it out found no difference

Ordered a replacement anyone know how to get to it and fit please

The cigarette sockets are normally a push fit, on the Mk 2.5 you remove the metal insert which then allows removal of the plastic shroud.

You might find that it is just full of crud. Remove the fuse (or battery negative), and with a small soft wire brush/something abrasive, clean the middle contact in the socket. The reason you remove the fuse/battery lead is so that you don't short the centre pin against the outside of the socket and blow said fuse!

Mine was working intermittently like this, turns out it was full of dirt/coffee remnants from the previous owner (i'd previously found dried coffee remnants/gunk under the centre console). A clean up and working perfectly once again.
