    It may not lock with the Easyfuel system.  The Focus ones don't lock, but the Edge ones do, not sure about the Mondeo.  You can check with your reg on ETIS.

    Actuall varies car to car some do lock some dont, in response to the OP did it lock before or is it a car new to you.?
