Focus 2016 1.0, traction control, loud sound 1.gear

Featured Replies

I noticed that when spinning in 1.gear, partially icy grip so that the wheels had partially good grip, there was a very loud mechanical sound!

Other times the traction control activate when spinning in the winter the sound from the system is what I recognize from the system, not loud like this!

Does the traction control ( anti spinning) really produce a very hard, loud mechanical repeating sound like this?

What does sound like this mean exactly?

With the mix of abs pump, engine noise, tyre noise (especially if they've got partial grip on tarmac but slipping), it would be impossible to say. But yes, the ESP/ABS noise on my Focus is quite loud.
