Sync 2 Sat Nav enable

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum and was wondering if any one could help, this topic has probably came up before, I have a 2016 Ford Kuga that is not Sat Nav enabled, I have used forscan and changed the AIPM code and put the PNG file on the USB and downloaded it, but the Sat nav is not working.

I have 3.10 version software, I am not sure if there is a Navigation license required. Am I missing something, any help is much appreciated.

Cheers Darren

Might be missing something here, but I take it you have installed the sat nav unit?

Also not sure what you mean by the PNG file. That's just a picture file...

@Dazpunky Hi mate, you have to be more specific what exactly is not working, and after the procedure a master reset of the unit is required, have you done that?

Hi Bannko,

Sorry for the late reply, I have updated to 3.10 but I cannot see any Navigation software installed when I check the software license, I have done the master re-set but it is saying insert SD card, I have renewed this with an up to date one.

Thanks again for the help.

Hi anyone on here know where I can get sync2 navigation activated south east area?
@Bannko has all the instructions for that.
You will need a Tunnelrat modified elm327 cable and free software from Forscan (plus the time limited extended licence) also a navigation data sd card, F8 is the latest for your car.

For anyone who has the problem of the system saying "Insert SD Card" when it is inserted, you need the navigation update file. I had the same issue on mine and downloaded it from XDA.

I did have the link and am not 100% but I think it's this file you need.....BT4T-14D546-EE.CAB

As I say I am not 100% but after I uploaded the navipatch, did a master reset I had the small compass and it still said insert SD card. I remember someone else mentioning this on the Kuga forum but I can't find that link now. All the info is on XDA.

Post number 936. If the link doesn't work then copy the link and paste into a new tab.
