New wing, now rust free!

Featured Replies

Since acquiring my Focus, one thing that bugged me was the front drivers wing. It was the only panel on the car that had any rust on it, obviously as it was a slightly different shade, it was the result of a poor previous repair. I managed to source a new, pre painted wing, and had it fitted today. Relatively inexpensive too. Chuffed to bits now on having a 15 year old rust free car.May even get her Waxoyled at some stage...

I changed both my front wings 2-3 years ago due to rot on the rear bottom part (the bit that gets flayed with crap off the road), it wasn't such as bad job after someone sourced me a decent picture of the rear of the wing so I could understand where the fasteners and bolts were.

The car did look freaky with no wings on though.

You're obviously a man with skills! I paid a local bodyshop £50 cash to do it and was happy enough to do so...

Or more bravery than sense!

I reckon £50 is a great price because it's a fiddly (potentially time consuming) job more than anything.
