2013 Low beam not working help locating module

Featured Replies

Hi

UK ford focus zetec 1.6 diesel tdci 2013 5dr

My daughters n/s/f low bead will not work, I've had 2 attempts at this now, it is due for its MOT very soon so starting to panic a bit need to get it fixed, basically the low beam has no power getting to the head light socket, checked all fuses, all fuses ok, Googled, removed battery for an hour to reset head light module as one post i read had suggested, No different,

Scanner is saying head light module, but it will not communicate with said module, does anybody know where the headlight module is located Please? - Low beam n/s?

It does not display any bulb fault on the cars display currently, but she said it did when the bulb first went (if the bulb was actually blow i don't know), i may have thought it had no headlight module if she hadn't said about it displaying bulb fault on cars display but certainly has no fuse for dip in any board as i can see.

thanks in advance for your assistance

Have you got another bulb you can try? You can’t always assume that a new bulb will be in working order, so first thing to try would be another new bulb. On some cars, I’m not sure about the focus, when a bulb goes it shuts off the power to that bulb. If you change the bulb with the lights switched on, it won’t work until you switch them off then on again. If this is the case and you’ve got a faulty bulb, it might be the problem. Try swapping the bulb from the other side so you know it’s a working one.

Hi

Thanks for your reply, we have had about 3 bulbs in it and also switched bulbs from side to side but no joy i wished it was that easy.

The scanner is saying headlight module fault but i am struggling to find where the headlight module is located.
