2014 Focus ST250 slow speed "judder"

Featured Replies

MY 42000 mile ST250 is jerky/juddery on very low throttle openings when cold, it is showing  no codes and runs very well except a rough idle speed. It has been remapped by Collins Performance but the "judder" was present before. The car is very responsive and pulls well when pushed.

Has anyone else expereinced this issue. My initial thoughts are to try and clean the throttle body for a start, but where do I access it ?

The car is well serviced every 6000 miles and had new plugs at 38000.

My stock 14 st250 has a really rough idle. It’s like it’s about to stall but it never does. Did a bit of research and apparently it’s a common issue on this model. The US market have had recalls done on the engine bay wiring harness for this issue but there’s nothing in the UK regarding this.

As long as you have power through all the gears and no misfires I wouldn’t worry. I’ve had it for the past year or so and haven’t had anything come of it. No codes show up either on forscan :)
