Mk 2 facelift rear headlights...

Hi guys... I was looking at getting the rear lights changed to a smoke out set... found a set but they say they only fit a mk 2? Will they still fit... mine is a 08 plate

    Physically the lights will fit, but the wiring is different. The mk2 has two plugs which attach onto the bulb holders, whereas the mk2.5 has a loom attached to the bulb holders that goes in behind the carpet in the boot. 

    What you really want is a set of RS/ST led lights that’ll plug straight into your mk2.5 and get them smoked. I just so happen to have a set going spare.😁

    Well I fort mine was a mk2... but went to a local scrap yard and he told me it was a facelift... pretty new to the car scene so I'm a bit lost... lol you just happen to have a set yeah?

    Yeah, if yours has the mostly white lights with a honey comb pattern inside it’s the facelift the pre facelift had white indicators and the rest of the unit was red. 

    Just happen to have a set in the sale section. Had them fitted to my previous car but took them off when it went.

    Yeahh ive got the honeycomb rearlights and it's got the headlights and the chrome strip on the front on the bottom picture so It must be a facelift! Thanks guys
