Hi I’m new here so hope I’m in the right place. I recently ran my fuel additive tank dry I’ve taken it to the garage who have refilled it but now there is an error message on the dash. The garage have told me it needs a new tank for the additive, is this correct or can the code be reset somehow? Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Paul.

The garage is talking rubbish. All you should need to do is reset the additive count. I'm afraid I can't help with that but hopefully bumping this topic will get one of the expert members in.

Thank you for that, I thought it was odd. They’re £500 from Fords.

You need a modified ELM327 cable and the free forscan software.
Reset the EACM counter.

All sorted, the garage did you fuel filler cap sequence and it worked. Just one other thing, could this fuel additive tank being empty cause the car to fire up for a split second then cut out and refuse to restart?

many thanks

Paul.
