Cold air intake lead to loss power going uphill

Featured Replies

Hi. I have the Ford Focus MK2 Duratec 2.0. When i installed the K&N cold air intake kits, everything was fine until i was going uphill. I can feel that the car was losing power ( vs the stock intake ). What do i have to do to solve this issue.

Thanks guys

Rip it off, it's pointless, spend the money on changing the OEM paper filter every 10k.

Yah. I just reinstalled the OEM ones but missing the sound of K&N cold air intake given 😣

Did you reset the ECU after installing it?

How to reset the ECU btw

Remove the negative battery lead for about 30-45 mins then the ECU will relearn and adjust for any changes.

You need a good cold air feed as it will back off the power as it heats up I had a ramair and in the winter it's great in the summer I switched back to the stock air box
