Hi all,

Spent some time today fitting my car with with power folding wing mirrors. While everything fitted and worked correctly, I don't know what torque the one nut holding the wing mirrors should be. I have the Haynes manual but I can't find any torque setting in there for it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use the old fashioned method of using the correct size spanner with 2 fingers not griping but just holding apply pressure till tight, wont be far of.

There is no torque setting, just pinched up, probably no more than 10nm . 

So are the folding mirrors plug and play? do you just need to fit the mirrors and switch or do they need coding?

Sorry for the delayed response - been really busy at work. Anyway, yes the mirrors are essentially plug and play if the car has the required wiring. Remove the door cards and check that the wiring on the cars loom feeding the mirrors has ten wires. The actual wiring coming from the mirrors should have 6 wires. Apart from that, 2 relays are required in the internal fuse box(which should already be present) and lastly activation of the powerfold mirrors and the puddle lamp via Forscan is required.
