Hi all,

I am unable to find the engine code for my 2007 1.4L LX petrol (non Zetec) engine.

Supposedly it's on a sticker in the engine bay, but try as I might I can't find it!

Any help would be V much appreciated.

From what I can deduce, the code from 2004-11 for the 1.4 was FXJA, ASDA or ASDB. All 3 were used for 1.4 Foci during this period, and I'm not sure how to narrow down to the exact one without the sticker being present.

It's on the V5 logbook if you're looking for the 4 digit code.  

Engines don't have individual engine numbers any more if that's what you're looking for.

Hi isetta, a couple of stickers there that I had already checked. Nothing resembling an engine code though.

One is about tyre pressures and the other is mostly about weights.

Had a good look at the logbook and in particular the VIN. Nothing there that looks like an engine number.

I was also expecting to find an ASDA or ASDB somewhere in the logbook codes, but nothing!

Can't even find an image of the engine on Google.

Will try take a couple of pics and post them here (if it ever stops raining!) 😑

Do you have UK style logbooks in Ireland or are they different to ours?

 

If they're the same as ours it's under 'variant' at the top left.

Cheers Tom, unfortunately it seems different in Ireland. D2 on my logbook simply states "Ford Focus LX Connection 1.4"

I have a P5  number on logbook (6B01651) That's what relates to my engine number, so hardly useful!!
