Foucs Mk4 water ingress

Featured Replies

I noticed last weekend when hovering the car out, the passenger side floor mat was damp, I though maybe I'd put my frozen food shopping there a little too long and didn't think much of it until this morning. Now it wasn't damp it was absolutely soaking, and splash up the side where the bonnet release it on the dash and top of the door pillar was wet too.

No I did not leave the door or window open, going into the dealer for 3 days on Monday, but I'm very unhappy with this on a car with 5000 miles, this is my first Ford and kind of thinking my last too.

Probably just a one off..Just Bad luck .

It happens even nowadays. At least its summer.

I don't care what my dealer say there is no way "it'll just be a rubber seal"  If this is Ford quality I doubt we'll be driving Mk4s in ten years, time, they'll have rusted away or fallen apart.  This was filmed today during a 5min fairly light shower.

wow

Looks to me more likely a leak around the windscreen

That's a disgrace, not good at all.

That's what I think Screen not bonded to the car properly. It's booked in for 3 full days next week will post again with results.

As expected, the windscreen had split from the car, 4 days in the garage striping everything out to dry it , check electrical and for rust and mold, refit windscreen and rebuild.

Hopefully everything will be fine now
