Shuffs
I bought a 2012 Fiesta last year, love it. Just one thing, has anyone noticed a water leak from round the windscreen, drips onto pedals. It's not the windscreen seal I've had that checked. I wondered if it was because the plastic that the wipers are screwed into isn't flush to the windscreen but other people with different cars have said theirs aren't. Can anyone shed any light on it please?
ThaiFiesta
There’s a rubber grommit in the firewall above the pedals that’s known to leak, either from age or from wires that have been passed through it. Check that
robbyvrs
Does it have the origional windscreen fitted? I had a Focus many years ago which leaked resulting in wet carpets at the drivers side, turned out it had had a replacement screen (previous owner) and the sealant (not rubber seal) had a tiny gap and let water in there - screen out/ clean/ re-seal did the job
Eric Bloodaxe
Also worth checking if any drain holes under the bonnet forward of the windscreen are not blocked by leaf debris etc. If water can't drain out it can find its way inside through the heater air intakes etc. Had a few problems like this over the years as unfortunately I have to park near several trees. Shuffs
I think it's the original screen. The windscreen guy said it wasn't that , did sound like yours though robbyvrs.
