Mapping

Can anyone help me is it worth mapping a fiesta 1242cc

As it is vary sluggish

Thanks

Nope.  Being a non-turbo engine there's not any significant gain to be had from remapping I'm afraid.  If you're in a position to change to a more powerful car that's really the only option here.

Bit unclear as to what car you actually have - a 2019 Fiesta would not have the 1.25?

Whatever, this topic crops up with great regularity on here, and the answer, as Tom says, is basically no. You might get a small (5-7bhp) gain from a remap but really much better to put the cash towards buying a more powerful car when you are able.

Have you checked that there isn't any loss in power? Its just when I hear sluggish I think there's a loss of power somewhere. Have you test driven another one to see if the power is the same.

Yes, that's a good point - always best to ensure what you have is up to scratch before considering mods. Sometimes a decent service can make all the difference.

Again, though, as I said above, it's difficult when we're not clear exactly which version we are talking about. A 2019 car should be running ok, but then a 2019 car wouldn't be a 1.25.

The 82ps version of the 1.25 is normally quite nippy around town at least, but needs to be worked hard to maintain pace in hilly areas. The 60ps version (found at various times in lower spec versions like Style or Studio) is a bit more sluggish and can usefully be remapped to bring it on a par with the 82ps version.
