2010 ZS Fiesta front suspension knock

Featured Replies

Our 2010 1.6 TiVCT Zetec S has a knocking from the O/S front suspension. I have jacked up the car and there is no evidence of wheel bearing or lower ball joint wear, the drop link appears to be in good order. So my thoughts are turning to the bushes in the control arm. I have replaced a few bushes in older fiestas and even older Mk4 escorts, I also have a bearing press. So my question is how easy or difficult to change them, Id rather not have to buy new control arms.....

My daughters Fiesta had a knocking noise too. Both bottom ball joints were shot. We replaced both of the control arms, it cost us £12 more to buy the complete units than buying just the ball joints. We got them at the local motor factors.
