wheel sizes

Featured Replies

ok I have a mk 6 fiesta with wheel size 165/65.r 14 can I use the size 195/55/R15 and what would be different to the car

thanks

I use this site to play with wheel and tyre options

14 inch on mk6 is normally 175/65/14. so if you are using 165/65/14 they are lower profile so speedo is probably reading slightly faster than it should.

15 inch on mk6 would normally be 195 / 50 /15 , so if you use 195/55/15 they are slightly higher profile so that would make the speedo read slightly slower then it should. Can't be sure the tyre would not rub somewhere as overall diameter would be about 2cm more (radius about 1 cm more) if using 195/55/15 instead of 195/50/15

thanks for your reply but I dont understand most of instructions on the site you sent me

In that case you may struggle with understanding wheel dimensions - like offset, PCD, tyre profile etc etc so you will need someone (not me) to help you sort it out

they are lower profile so the ideal ones would be 195/50/15 so the did not rub thanks
