Just wondering if anyone knows about what’s going on with my Ford Fiesta zetec s 1L turbo (2013) so about 4 weeks ago I was driving about an 1:30 then in traffic the car can up with service required and seemed to go into limp mode then turned off engine and turned back on and was fine then about 10 mins later it happened again , so go towed home to garage where it was in for 2 weeks and they put on a new throttle ecu and it passed its mot then aswell , then I picked it up and it ran fine then about 20 mins later it happened again and went into limp mode with the engine shaking saying engine malfunction, so sent it back into garage which then sent it ford and they put a new engine ecu in costing me £500 then I got it back after a week and since I did about 300 miles then cruising about 20 mph it did the same thing again , the engine runs and ticks over in neutral just the revs go up a little then back down constantly, just wondering if any of you had an idea what’s going on ? Because I don’t think ford do 😂

Its all well and good saying you have limp mode and the engine malfunction message, but without the diagnostic codes, we cant really help. What you have described could literally be anything in the engine bay gone wrong.
