Ford Fiesta 2004 Window Fault

Featured Replies

I just purchased a Ford Fiesta 2004 1.4L. The issue on the car was that from the drivers side the windows don't open.

From the passengers side you can open the passengers window but from the drivers side nothing happens at all. No noise, no movement on either window.

I went to try and replace the switch on the door handle but nothing happens with the new one either.

Any ideas of what it could be and what I need to check?

Hi. I would say check all earth connections are tight, if that doesn't work thhe it's a fault in the wiring somewhere, hope this helps

Hi Liam

Thank you for your help.

I will probably take it to a garage as it seems to be a bit of a wire trailing mission.

Have you taken the trim off by the door handle to access the connection on the driver's side switch ?  Or checked the door wiring connector by the driver's door hinges?

If the passenger door is working correctly, and nothing from the driver's door, then surely the fault is somewhere on the driver's side.

I took the trim off by the door handle when I tried to replace the switch all seemed okay there and just pulling back the wiring casing I couldnt see anything amiss but hard to tell without taking everything out.

I think you are right though, it does seem like an electrical fault
