fiesta mk7 door locking manually

Featured Replies

Hi, can I lock manually when battery is flat ,& on charger ? it doesn't have lock button separately like focus mk2.5 does . I know passenger side lock has cap which u remove to expose locking barrel. but how do you lock rear doors ?

battery is removed for re charging.

I think in my handbook there is something you open the door and on the edge by the lock mechanism there is something that you push or turn then close the door and it is locked. Never done it but I looked it up originally when I got the car as I wondered if there was a way. Applies to front passenger and rear doors I think

Central lock it with the bonnet open before removing the battery is the easiest way.  Then just manually unlock/lock the drivers door once the battery is off.  I realise it's too late for you now though lol.

Haven't seen the switches Isetta mentions myself, only child locks on rear doors, so if someone could post a pic of that it would be useful.

just had a look, and tried it out. It does work. all four doors have it on them. turn with key or screwdriver then close door. Mine is 2015 mk7.5 don't what year this feature goes back to

Excellent, will know for future now.

I think it's stupid though, why can't we just have someway of manually locking it like mk6 fiesta , mk2 focus etc. When these cars get old and things like central locking start playing up it's going to get inconvenient.
