When was the last time anyone saw a new model/variation out and about with some form of disguise on? Living very close to MIRA I see all sorts popping in and out of there - but hard;y anyone of it is recognisable as a particular model or even marque.

I think all those people waiting for the ST are waiting for the Engine spec and not the visual looks.

Most people I spoke to when I was getting my ZS always said they would wait for an ST.

It will be awesome when Ford Officially announce what will be under the bonnet of the ST Fiesta.

Personally I don't see myself getting an ST/RS model Ford anytime soon :)

more than likely but they should be able squeeze more out of a 2l now and i think with how good-looking this car is now, a bigger engine will make it a perfect hot hatch too me

To keep up with the competition and seperate it from the hot Focus models it should really have a fairly small displacement and forced induction. Ford are getting left behind from the likes of VW at the moment with their TSI engine developments etc - turbo and supercharger technology is coming along really quickly now with the rush to drive CO2 levels down. It'll probs be one of those 1.6 ecoboost jobbies which we keep hearing so much about.

the reginal manager said when the Fiesta came out there was suck a outcry for the ST Ford very nearly put in the 2.0 engine from the last ST in a ZetecS and lable it the ST but tuned up for more power. (Needs to be as the new 1.6 is 120ps and the 2.0 was only 150ps) it was talked about so much and nearly happened but the car industry changed drastically with the resession and people not wanting large engines so at the last miniute decided not to build it and wait for the 1.6 EcoBoost to be production ready and put that engine in it amd also gives them time to develop new items for the car.

Doubt you'd see that on my driveway!

....and apparently have never seen a Zetec S before - they seem to think that the bodykit is mostly new and that the car is US spec.....justs adds more weight to the argument that its not an ST and that some car mags/websites will wright anything to get people to read them.
