2001 heating issues please help!

Featured Replies

Would really appreciate any advice people have! I have a 2001 Ford Fiesta.

6 months ago my car started leaking coolant - I found that one of the little pipes on the heating valve had crumbled. I replaced the heating valve unit, all seemed fine but I couldn't control the heating anymore - it would always be hot. I disconnected and reconnected the electric motor bit on the valve a couple times in case it just wasn't sitting properly but that didn't change anything.

In the last month, the car has lost water quickly when I have turned the heating fully on to demist the windscreen which is very worrying.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do ? Do I need to flush the system? Could I have reconnected the pipes wrong when I installed the heating valve unit?
