I have a similar issue posted in a different thread, I would be most grateful if you could please detail where in the instrument cluster settings menu I can find this method of resetting.

Thank you.

Scroll through vehicle settings, right at the bottom I believe.

Just for info' & to assist others it seems not all Focus's have this feature, mine certainly doesn't.

If your car was serviced and all the Outstanding Field Service Action done recently, they have now removed the user reset function.

This is a total con and forces you to have to go to a garage.  Sneaky by Ford as the oil changes don't line up with the service intervals.

It was & they were, it seems you are correct 👍

Just had the 3 yr service at the Brother in laws garage.

I'm not getting the oil life reset notification in the car but it is saying oil life 6% on the Ford pass app itself.

It does seem that the option to reset this has been removed from within the vehicle settings  (where it used to be). Ironically the car went to Ford for updates in late December so maybe this was one of the other updates that Ford was unwilling to acknowledge at the time ?

So how does one get it removed from the Ford pass app ?

Update.

It was still on Ford pass this morning asking me to book the car in for an oil change.

Also during our shopping trip this morning I also got a "Oil change needed" notification on the dashboard whilst driving home.

Got home put the shopping away and got the laptop out and connected Forscan to the car.

I couldn't find an option to reset the oil life on Forscan either.  The only option it gave me was to check oil life status which read 100% so I unconnected Forscan and switched off the car, went back inside and checked the Ford pass app and it has now gone from a orange/amber warning to a green tick and removed the issue.

Hoping next time I use the car the other suggestions have gone too.

So if anyone else has an oil change not at the Ford dealers in the future, you will need to connect to Forscan to remove the alert from Ford pass and fingers crossed it also removes the reminder in the car.

I just reset mine in the car dash menu and all fine since.  I don't use the app so don't really care what it says, the important thing is I know it has been done and when it needs to be done next.

You can't do it by the dash anymore. I used to do exactly the same and never had these issues at any other service or oil change point in the last 3yrs.

I think the option to reset oilife has been removed when the car went in for a recall update.

Ah, I haven't checked since last September when I did it.  In that case best to keep the car away from any Ford software updates.

Quick question regarding this, I've got a Mk 3.5 Focus ST-Line 1.5 Diesel. It's due a service next month but I've had this warning come on now. Is it safe to drive the car (I do approx 300 miles per week motorway driving for work) until it gets serviced?

All help appreciated.

Just check that the oil level is correct and top if needed. It will be fine to drive until next month, just make sure that you do get it serviced.
