Fiesta MK7 LCD Headunit caused flat battery.

I swapped out my analog blue display for one of the nicer LCD displays. It was a simple swap and everything worked as normal after it was installed.

The only issue is that the next day the battery was flat, I jumped it and drove it for an hour and the day after was flat again. I’ve now removed the screen and I don’t have the issue now.

Does anyone know why this caused the battery drain? The screen would go off when the car was locked.

     You could shunt it with a meter to check for a discharge error. When off there should be no current drain.
