2018 Fiesta Mk8 ST-Line Rust Spots

Featured Replies

Hello! So my 2018 Mk8 Fiesta in Frozen White, has developed hundreds of rust spots over all metal panels of the car, all doors, roof, bonnet, boot.. the lot!

Mostly at this point the size of a pinhead.. some are growing! and it was the bigger ones that drew my attention to the issue.

To the touch, the spots feel smooth, so it's like it's not a chip.  Has anyone got any advice, or experienced anything similar?

Hi Andy.  I think those are just contaminants that will come off easily with the right cleaning products.

I had something very similar on my Mazda 2 a few years back and my PDR guy removed them without a problem.

Gary, thanks, you're actually spot on. A bit of product, and it's gone.. phew!

Yeah, I've had the same thing in the past - though we've had several white cars, it only happened on one.
