changing primer bulb on ford fiesta 1.4 tdci

Featured Replies

I have the same engine as in the video below which shows how to replace the fuel filter and at the very end shows a clear view of the primer bulb which I would like to replace
I have measured and purchased a 12mm primer bulb but the old one that is still on the car is very tight on and makes me wonder if this is glued or is fixed on differently to what I expected. the bulb I have has the connections a right angles just like the original but the fuel pipes going to it there is nothing that is obvious that is holding it on apart from force but I have pulled and even tried putting a flat headed screwdriver to try edge it of but its not having it. I also tried boiling hot water to hope it would give.
that is why im here asking as its not like a hose but more like a strong plastic pipe.
