Fiesta Mk 6 Bluetooth Stereo

Featured Replies

Hi,

Have just bought a Mk6 Fiesta as a first car for my son and would like to change the stereo from the original to one that is bluetooth compatible.

If going down the route of a Ford replacement, what should I be looking for; will just a Fiesta stereo fit or are ones from other models compatible.  If so would I need a different fascia and wiring plug?

If going for a single or double din after market stereo, would I again need to get a different fascia and wiring plug?

Has anyone got any links for what fascias etc I would need, stereos that would fit or aftermarket recommendations please?

TIA :)

Go aftermarket. You can get a nice touchscreen unit and a double din adapter cheap enough nowadays. The problem with factory units is they're very outdated nowadays (some phones don't even work anymore) and require different wiring looms/ activation on the ECU.

You'll need new fascia and wiring harness adapter as you say. This link has one that includes everything you need. Then any stereo from sony, pioneer, kenwood etc. should fit directly in.

I bought a Bluetooth adapter for £8 that plugs in the back of the standard head unit in place of the aux.  Works a treat
