ItsOnlyMe
Hi, My indicator stalk sticks or doesn't engage properly when I push it to indicate to the right. I think it has muck/dust in it. Can I use silicon spray to get it moving or do I need to get a new one. Can the old one be refurbished? Has anybody else any experience of this? Thanks in advance, Kerrie. isetta
if mine I would probably try spraying wd40 into it. I don't think silicone spray would be good in the electrical contacts. I once took one apart because it was stuck on high beam and wouldn't dip. the switch felt ok the way it clicked but the headlights did not change. I found a small bit had broken off inside so I bought a 2nd hand replacement on eBay for not much money which was fine. these switches are designed not to be taken apart. I think if you are very careful you might be able to get it apart and clean/lube parts and get it back together but they are very fiddly.
