Trying to change triple deck stereo

Wanted to change my 2005 mk 5(or 6) Ford Fiestas stereo and wanted to check if I don’t change the whole head unit ( the part with the two bars ) will I be able to fit a double din stereo just by cutting the bars off or should I just use a single din.

Is there any other changes I’d have to make with a double as I’ve seen a video on how to put a single in and is it the same?

(Apologies if I put this in the wrong topic)

Edit : I’ve also just found what I feel like could be a connection for an aux does anyone else’s Mk 5(6) have a little detachable circle in the glovebox?
