Facelift Mk7 missing USB icon on touchscreen

Featured Replies

Evening everyone.

I’m hopeful someone can help me with a problem accessing the USB drive in my Fiesta.

My car is a 2017 facelift with the iPad type touch screen display running Sync 3 with nav. There are 2 USB ports in the car, one by the gear stick and one in the compartment behind the gearstick. That one has a white USB icon on it. The usb is a 16Gb stick formatted with fat32 and a single directory on it called music.

However there isn’t an icon for USB under the music sources section on the display. Just AM, FM and the Bluetooth enabled mobile.

I don’t have an aux button anywhere so I’m not sure how to enable this. I was hoping to see a usb option even if it said undetected or unrecognised but I don’t even see it. I’ve tried both ports and plugging it in both before I start the car and re-inserting it while it is switched on.

Does anyone have an idea how I can sort this?

Thanks

Try a different USB stick - it will only show on the screen if it detects the stick.
