Mk4 - How to turn off lane assist?

Featured Replies

There is no option to switch off lane assist by default. Anyone found a workaround via software or hardware? It’s probably possible to pull one of the breakers, but I want to avoid messing with emergency braking.

It is not on by default, you turn it on and off via the button on the indicator stalk.

Lane assist doesn't brake, it just wobbles the steering wheel annoyingly.

Also doesn't anyone just read the manual?

I've just had a software update at the ford garage and no I cant turn off lane assist, I have the options to reduce sensitivity High Med Low and alerts but not to disable completely.

Any help gratefully received.

European Ford: on the left stick that you use for turn signals. It is located on the top of the stick looking at the window. It is the same as the button for the rear windscreen wiper but on the opposite stick.

On the top of the turn signals stick. You press that button once and even if you restart the car the lane assist is off. In settings you can configure how hard the steering wheel gets with lane assist but it won't be able to be turned off.
