oil change capacity

Featured Replies

hello to all ,

forgive me if this is repeated or mentioned here before.

my fiesta is mk8 1.0 ecoboost 100ps automatic, current mileage is 14500 km , that's about 9k miles, during the 10k km service , which had oil change, the guy at the dealer used exactly 4.5 quarts of oil ( that's about 4.25 litres ) ( I did know this because I have the remaining fifth quart bottle half filled ), now if there is an oil change with filter, how much oil precisely that should be added ? the manual states that the capacity with filter is 4.6 litres ( not quarts ), but is this the refill capacity or the dry capacity ?

and another thing, I checked my oil level yesterday , and it was about one third below the max mark , knowing that its 1 litre between min and max, I have lost about 0.3 litres in 4.5k km, is this normal ? and what about the official word from ford about the oil consumption for this model ? and is it true that it may improve in the future ? a lot of questions I'm sorry for that 😄

thank you very much for considering.

edit : the oil is motorcraft full synthetic 5w-20 WSS-M2C945B1 specified for 1.0 ecoboost engine .

I have added about 0.25 litres to raise the level to max mark , is that ok ?
