Fiesta 2007 Zetec Help (No Heat)

Featured Replies

Hi,

My mr's Ford Fiesta 07 Zetec wont blow hot air from AC anymore.

If you take the car a drive the temperature guage goes inbetween the C-H so thermostat seems fine.

I checked the cooling/antifreeze tank and it looked empty so I bought some Prestone 1L Ready to Use and poured it all in. We then took the car for a 5min drive and home. During the drive 2 out of the 4 blowers sometimes blew "hotish" air but sometimes it felt very intermittent.

When we got home I checked the tank and it was right below MIN so I added some boiled water to top it up. I have it around the MIN/MAX mark and let the engine run for a bit.

What I did notice was the seal around the cap is bubbling and also the fluid inside.

Is this normal? And if so what else could I try to fix her heating?

I know its an old car ready for the scrap but just trying to get it through winter first :)

Cheers

Head gasket possibly between combustion and coolant .
