Mk4 Cupholder

Featured Replies

Hi all, bit of an odd one, has anyone else with a 68 plate focus(mk4) had the cupholder cover disintegrate. Mine wasn't opening and closing smoothly and then i noticed some of the pieces on the rails had come out. i know this doesn't really effect the car in any way, its just annoying as it shouldn't fall apart like that.

thanks.

Seems you are the first member to manage to break the mk4 cup holder already!   Mines an automatic, different cup holders. I have sat in a mk4 manual and thought it looked a bit flimsy.

Does it still hold a cup ? Or now just extra storage?

Sorry to revive a dead post. Did you resolve it?

I complete forgot I ever posted this and the emails were auto deleted for some reason. Its only the sliding cover that is broken. The adjustable holders that hold the cups still work fine. Just bad design built with cheap parts.

OMG! Thanks for replying. I litro picked up my new focus mk4 1 week ago and the cup holder is like this.

Wondering whether to cry under warranty or just leave it. Is yours like that? It slides fine to that point then meets resistance.
