Ford focus ST3 adaptive headlight not working correctly

Featured Replies

When you start the car the headlight works completely fine and after about 20 minutes or so the light starts to flicker and eventually go out. I can turn the headlight back on again by turning the lights off and back on. But then the problem occurs faster than the time before until I'm doing it every couple of minutes. I've changed the bulb and the problem persists.

Halogen or Xenon?

@JosephAllen Did you ever get this resolved? I've got exactly the same issue currently, I've taken it to Ford who've said it's the bulb, which I've changed but it's still doing it.

If it’s a HID lamp you could try swapping the ballast over from the working headlamp?

Sorry to say you won't get an answer from @JosephAllen who is just a "One Post Wonder" they never even returned to check for any updates.

Are these Xenon headlights ? If so then do as @troy45 has already said and swap the ballast units over.

Thanks for the advice, looking into it now
