Problems installing android head unit

Featured Replies

Hi! I'm new to the forum

I have a Mk3 14reg focus. I got a Chinese head unit (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233547256448) but I'm having problems installing it.

There is a 8 pin connector with 2 cables (manual says can-rx and can-tx). If I don't connect it to the unit everything works fine but I lose the steering wheel controls. If I connect it the unit starts the sync app in Chinese and I can't go out. I press home and back buttons but it automatically goes back to sync.

There is a key2 cable that is connected to the unit on one side and to nothing on the other one

There's also a small 3 pin connector at the bottom (where you connect the emergency lights and the door lock buttons) with 3 wires that are not connected to anything on the other side

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Ebay link doesn't work 😐
